The Wilde Lake High School Boosters Foundation, Inc. is a volunteer parent organization that supports not only athletic programs financially, but numerous other programs and organizations within the WLHS community.
The Booster Club’s basic function is to supplement the athletic director’s budget, which includes uniforms, equipment, tournament fees, and capital improvements. The Boosters also provide seasonal athletic awards, athletic letters, and scholarships. The WLHS Athletic Program has over 700 student participants and is comprised of 33 Varsity and Junior Varsity teams.
The WLHS Boosters Club is a member of the Interscholastic Athletic Advisory Committee (IACC). The IAAC continues to lobby to the School Board and the County Council to increase funding for the athletic budget. The IAAC has successfully lobbied for athletic trainers, and recently for the board’s approval of stadium lighting.
Membership generates a significant portion of the Booster Club’s revenue. To join, complete the application and send it to the school addressed to booster’s Club and help the “Tradition of Excellence” grow!
Booster Club meetings are held on the first Wednesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. in the WLHS staff lounge.
